The Gunslinger (The Dark Tower, #1)

The Gunslinger - George Guidall, Stephen King I like Stephen King's writing, for the most part, and I liked his writing in this book, even though much of it is early King (but then, Carrie is one of my favorite King books). However, I just could not get into the story and found myself uninterested in the characters. I suppose this is the sort of epic that you have to immerse yourself in, and maybe if I read the next few books in the Dark Tower series I'll be drawn in. But looking at it from here, it seems like a slog that I'm not sure I want to force myself into.
