I enjoyed the first few books in this series, but like every mystery series, it gradually came to be more about the characters, and rather repetitive in terms of plot. It's the same problem with TV dramas; how many different ways can your intrepid archeologists stumble across a body? However, if you like Victorian-era fiction with a plucky female protagonist and an Egyptian setting, the book delivers as promised.
