Moon Dance - S.P. Somtow This is a decidedly non-romantic historical fantasy set in the Old West. This is probably not the first story to depict European werewolves coming to America and fighting their Native American counterparts, but it's one of the better ones I've seen, and it definitely predates White Wolf's crappy World of Darkness (let alone Twilight). Warning: This is an extremely gory, graphic book. Rape, torture, genocide, and sex scenes that are often as unpleasant as the bloody murders are all found in abundance.
